Packaged very well and with care; it felt like a premium product. All sticks arrived unbroken. Unburned, the scent is divine; it is a little stronger when burned, but that is to be expected. They are truly smokeless and burn for approximately 25-30 minutes. I love this incense and would like to buy other scents!
This Asayu incense is very premium as there is no wooden core which means little to no smoke. I received the tea scent which smells like roasted tea leaves when burned. Each stick burned for roughly 25 minutes and fragranced my entire home with a pleasant yet mellow aroma. I think overall, if you like premium Japanese incense, this is great. It's pricey but smells great and the scent lasted in my home for three days.
I haven't decided if I enjoy the scent or not. It is very strong. The sticks are a short length and almost nothing left to put it in the holder with is a con. I'd like a little more room to work with my incense sticks.
These come nicely boxed in a japanese rice paper cardboard box with rice paper lining. All the sticks were intact. I wanted these because they are a chemical free, natural product so no added harmful chemicals. I have not noticed any smoke while burning which is also great. The fragrance is soft and musky but also sweet. Time to burn one is about 28 minutes. Not cheap but acceptable for premium product made in traditional manner with clean ingredients.
Pros: great subtle smell, low smoke! You won't fill a room with smoke using these. Cons: could do with a stick on the end to be more versatile use. Besides that con, I really can't fault them. It's a pleasant subtle smell with a low smoke output. It fills the room instead of the house and doesn't have a soapy smell when burning.
