A Holiday Recipe
Cinnamon Hojicha Latte
Roasted, naturally low in caffeine and gently sweet, hojicha makes the coziest Christmas latte. Light a stick of cinnamon incense, pour it into your favorite cup and settle in by the fire.
For one cup
- 2 tsp hojicha powder
- 60 ml (¼ cup) hot water, about 80°C (175°F)
- 200 ml (¾ cup) milk or oat milk
- 1–2 tsp maple syrup or honey
- A pinch of ground cinnamon, plus a cinnamon stick to serve
Method
- Sift the hojicha powder into your cup.
- Add the hot water and whisk until smooth.
- Warm the milk with the maple syrup and a pinch of cinnamon, then froth it.
- Pour the milk over the hojicha and dust with cinnamon.
- Add a cinnamon stick, light your incense and enjoy.
